Pain is

Pain is the great cleanser.  It is abrasive and harsh, and it strips us clean, down to the true core of ourselves.

Pain is the great teacher.  It brings us around to acceptance and it motivates us to be better people.

Pain is our worst enemy and our best friend.  Pain is excruciating to bear, yet it liberates us from our physical selves.

Pain is a necessary evil which evokes our faith in God and ourselves, and each other.

Pain is the great emancipator.  It frees us from the trappings of our egos and it humbles us.

Pain is as much a blessing as it feels like a curse.  It gives us clarity and it makes us grow.

Pain is the great motivator.  It pushes us to go farther and longer and harder than we ever thought we could.

Pain is the great unifier.  It brings families together and it reunites friends and loved ones.  Pain unifies us to Christ and his agony and suffering.  It brings us back to God and the reality of His will in our lives.

Pain is an everyday part of my life, and I choose to use it for good whenever I can to glorify God.
